Lilium Jet

The lilium jet is an air taxi developed by Lilium Aviation. It is approximately 5 times faster than our everyday car(300 km/h) and can hold up to 5 people, which allows citizens living in the countryside get to the city easily (and vice versa). This causes reduces traffic, noise, and emissions. The lilium jet also takes off and lands vertically- much like a helicopter, giving the jet maneuverability and allowing small landing pads to be built in cities, removing the need for runways.

It is constructed with lightweight materials, including CFRP- carbon fibre reinforced polymer. The aircraft is powered by electric fan engines which are lined along the wings and pods of the plane, and generates about 320kW of power. Lilium Aviation plans to have fully functional jets by 2019 and the full idea becoming a reality by 2025.
